How the capsule fits into your day

Nothing clever happens in the tub. The formula simply puts ten plant ingredients into a fixed dose and pins that dose to the two meals you were going to eat anyway.

1

Taken with food

The capsule goes down with a meal, so the botanicals arrive alongside your plate instead of on an empty stomach.

2

The warm end

Ginger, cinnamon and cayenne are the warming, strongly flavoured part of the mix, and usually the part people register first.

3

The tea end

Green tea leaf and its extract bring catechins and a modest amount of caffeine, which is why nobody sensibly takes the second capsule late at night.

4

Twice, evenly

Two servings spread across the day keep the intake level rather than delivering everything in one go.

5

A fortnight to judge

One tub covers fifteen days at that pace. That fortnight is the window over which people decide whether to carry on.

A nutrition scientist reads the label

“Look down the list and you are looking at a shopping basket: tea, ginger, cinnamon, chilli, cider vinegar, marmalade oranges. A capsule does one useful thing, which is keep the amount the same from Monday to Sunday. It does not move the plate, and it does not do the walking. So I tell people to hold the rest of the routine steady, take the two capsules with meals, and treat the tub as the smallest moving part of whatever they are trying to change.”

What is inside the tub

Ten plant ingredients, listed here the way you would meet them at home: the kitchen shelf first, then the concentrated extracts that need a word of explanation.

{{OFFER_NAME}}: Grüntee-Extrakt auf der Zutatenliste

Ginger root

Kitchen ginger, dried and milled. It carries the warm, faintly sharp note you can taste in the back of the capsule.

{{OFFER_NAME}}: grüner Tee als getrocknetes Blatt

Cinnamon

The baking spice. Cassia bark also carries coumarin, which is exactly why a supplement dose of it stays small.

{{OFFER_NAME}}: Wurzel des koreanischen Ginsengs

Green tea

Whole leaf from the same plant as the pot on the worktop, contributing its own catechins and a little caffeine.

{{OFFER_NAME}}: Berberin aus der Berberitze

Green tea extract

The concentrated form of that leaf, standardised so every capsule carries a comparable amount rather than a guess.

{{OFFER_NAME}}: Zimt als gemahlene Rinde

Cayenne

Ground chilli. Capsaicin is what makes it hot, and it is the compound researchers keep returning to.

{{OFFER_NAME}}: Ingwerwurzel, getrocknet und gemahlen

Apple cider vinegar

The salad-dressing staple in dry form, so there is no sharp mouthful and nothing to sip from a spoon.

{{OFFER_NAME}}: Cayennepfeffer als Chilipulver

Bitter orange

Marmalade oranges. The peel holds synephrine, a mild stimulant that is best kept well away from strong coffee.

{{OFFER_NAME}}: Bitterorange, Frucht von Citrus aurantium

Korean ginseng

Panax ginseng root, the one sold in every health-food aisle and used across East Asia as a tonic.

{{OFFER_NAME}}: Apfelessig in Pulverform

Berberine

A yellow alkaloid from barberry and related plants. European assessors are still working on a safe intake for it.

{{OFFER_NAME}}: Resveratrol aus der Weinrebe

Resveratrol

The compound people associate with grape skins and red wine, included here in a measured amount.

Taking it without any fuss

Six short instructions, and five of them are about not overcomplicating it.

  1. Swallow the first capsule whole with breakfast and a full glass of water, rather than before you have eaten anything.
  2. Take the second with lunch or your main evening meal, leaving a few hours before bed so the caffeine from the tea is not still with you at midnight.
  3. Stay at two capsules a day. Doubling up achieves nothing and is the single thing the pack tells you not to do.
  4. Keep the tub cool, dry and closed, away from the windowsill and out of reach of young children.
  5. Leave the rest of your routine alone — the plate, the walking, the sleep. The capsule is the small part, not the plan.
  6. Give it the full fifteen days before you decide anything. A tub is the sensible unit for a first look.

Three numbers worth knowing

  • 4.9average score across the 15 reviews on this page
  • 30capsules in a sealed tub, with the leaflet inside
  • 15days a tub covers at one capsule twice daily

What customers tend to mention

Not promises, and deliberately not numbers. These are simply the things people write to us about after a first tub.

A calmer afternoon

Less rummaging in the biscuit tin around four o'clock.

A little warmth

The gentle warm feeling some people get from cayenne.

An easier routine

Two fixed points a day are simple enough to remember.

Awake, not wired

Tea caffeine is modest next to a flat white.

One tub, not six jars

Ten botanicals together instead of a shelf of singles.

Nothing to measure

No scoops, scales, shakers or powders to prepare.

  • Made to food-supplement standards

Reviews of Glucagora

★ 4.9 / 5

An average based on 15 customer reviews. You will not find weights or timescales quoted in any of them, because British advertising rules do not allow it.

Hannah Whitfield

I work in a school office where somebody is always passing round a tin of something. Taking one with my sandwich at lunch has made the three o'clock raid on the staffroom a lot less automatic.
Gareth Pritchard
51, Cardiff
Bought it after my brother in Manchester ordered a tub and told me the parcel turned up inside the week. I take mine with breakfast and with dinner and I have not once forgotten, which for me is the surprising bit.
Nicola Ferguson
46, Glasgow
Honest review: the first week I noticed nothing at all and nearly stopped. By the end of the tub I was glad I had stuck with it. Four stars rather than five because it is not quick.
Dev Raichura
39, Leicester
What sold me was reading the ingredient list and recognising nine of the ten from my own kitchen. Ginger, cinnamon and chilli are in half of what I cook anyway, so it felt like a sensible thing to try.
Claire Boothby
57, Sheffield
I checked the bitter orange and the green tea with my pharmacist before I started, because I am fussy about that sort of thing. She was fine with it, and the routine of two a day suits someone as forgetful as me.
Michael Odogwu
43, Birmingham
Drive a van all day, so most of what I eat comes from a garage forecourt. Having something fixed at two points in the day has given the whole thing a bit of shape it did not have before.
Ruth Mallinson
62, Bradford
My daughter set the order up for me because I do not trust websites. Parcel came, paid the man at the door, and the leaflet inside listed everything properly. That mattered to me more than anything else.
Stephen Carlyle
48, Edinburgh
Took the second capsule too late one evening and slept badly, so that is on me. Moved it to lunch and no bother since. Four stars, and I would say read the instructions properly rather than skimming them.
Aisha Rahman
31, Manchester
Capsules are on the large side but they go down easily with water. I appreciated that the page did not throw a load of numbers at me — it made me more inclined to believe the rest of it.
Peter Hoyle
55, Nottingham
Been on it alongside walking the dog twice a day instead of once. I cannot tell you which of the two is doing what, and I would not pretend otherwise, but I am carrying on with both.
Bethan Lloyd
37, Bristol
Two small children, no time, and a diet built around whatever gets eaten off their plates. Two capsules with meals is about the only healthy habit I have managed to keep going all month.
Colin Rutherford
60, Newcastle upon Tyne
I like that the tub is only a fortnight. Made it easy to try without feeling I had signed up to anything, and I ordered a second one at the end of it rather than a stack up front.
Marie Donnelly
44, Liverpool
Night shifts on a ward wreck any kind of eating pattern. I take one at the start of the shift with something and one when I get home, and it has stopped the whole day feeling quite so shapeless.
Rob Ellery
29, Coventry
A mate in London put me onto it. I train three evenings a week and wanted something that was not a pre-workout full of stimulants. The warm feeling from the cayenne took a couple of days to get used to.
Susan Ainsworth
66, London
At my age I am wary of anything that promises the earth, and this page did not. Two capsules with meals, a walk to the shops and back, and I have found the fortnight perfectly manageable.

Glucagora in detail: the formula, the rules and the small print

This article was checked by Annika Reinhardt, nutrition scientist specialising in metabolism.

Ten things you probably already own

{{OFFER_NAME}} — Etikett der Dose aus der Nähe betrachtet

Empty a British store cupboard onto the worktop and you will find most of this tub. Green tea in the caddy. A knob of ginger going soft in the fridge drawer. Cinnamon left over from Christmas baking. Cayenne next to the paprika. A bottle of cider vinegar behind the olive oil. Seville oranges once a year for marmalade. Ginseng is the only one that lives in the health-food aisle rather than the kitchen, and berberine and resveratrol are the two you would have to go looking for.

That is the honest description of what Glucagora is: a fixed, repeatable dose of things people have been eating and drinking for a very long time, put into a capsule so the amount does not depend on how heavy-handed you were with the spice jar. The convenience is real. The magic is not, and we are not going to pretend otherwise anywhere on this page.

What British rules let a supplement say

{{OFFER_NAME}} — Teeblatt und konzentrierter Auszug nebeneinander

Since the start of 2021 the only health claims allowed on a food or supplement sold here are the ones on the Great Britain nutrition and health claims register, kept by the Department of Health and Social Care. Look for the ten plants in this tub and you will not find a single authorised claim about body weight for any of them. In the whole register, weight loss is essentially covered by glucomannan under strict dosing conditions and by meal replacements — and neither is in this formula.

On top of that the advertising code has a specific line, rule 15.6.6, which bans any reference to the rate or amount of weight loss in an advertisement for a food or supplement. The Advertising Standards Authority applies it to testimonials as well, which is why nobody quoting a figure appears in the reviews above. So when the tub says slimming, treat it as the aisle the manufacturer put it in rather than a tested statement about what will happen to you.

Green tea, EGCG and a rule that stops at the Irish Sea

{{OFFER_NAME}} — Bitterorange, Zimt und Berberin als Zutaten

Two of the ten ingredients are the same plant, and they are the reason to read a label rather than skim it. Drinking tea is not the issue; concentrated catechins in supplement form are. The European Food Safety Authority looked at the evidence and found that EGCG taken as a supplement at 800 mg a day or above has been linked with early signs of liver strain in trial volunteers, and the EU responded with a labelling and portion rule.

Here is the part almost nobody spells out: that EU measure does not apply in Great Britain. It applies in Northern Ireland under the Windsor Framework, so an identical tub can carry different mandatory wording depending on which side of the Irish Sea it is sold. The UK's own Committee on Toxicity has reviewed the same hepatotoxicity evidence. The practical upshot for anyone here is straightforward — take the capsule with food rather than on an empty stomach, and do not run a green tea supplement alongside another one without checking the totals.

Bitter orange and berberine: the two to think about

{{OFFER_NAME}} — Kapseln neben Teller, Wasserglas und Bewegung im Alltag

Bitter orange peel contains synephrine, a mild stimulant. Reviews of the evidence point to raised blood pressure and heart rate in some people, and the reported problems cluster where it is stacked with other stimulants. French assessors put a ceiling on p-synephrine from supplements and advised against pairing it with caffeine at all. Since this formula also carries tea caffeine, the sensible reading is to keep your coffee habit modest on the days you take it, and to leave it alone entirely if your blood pressure is already something you watch.

Berberine is the other one worth a pause. It has had a noisy few years online, but the European assessors who examined plant preparations containing it concluded they could not establish a safe intake level, citing evidence of genotoxicity. That is not a reason to panic over a modest amount in a mixed formula; it is a reason to stay at two capsules a day, not to take it indefinitely without a break, and to talk to a pharmacist first if you take prescribed medicines.

Cinnamon and the coumarin arithmetic

{{OFFER_NAME}} — Kennzeichnung und Zutatenliste zum Nachlesen

Cinnamon is the friendliest-sounding item on the list and the one with the tidiest sum attached. Coumarin, which occurs naturally in cassia bark, has a tolerable daily intake of 0.1 mg per kilogram of body weight — roughly 7 mg a day for a seventy-kilo adult. Half a teaspoon to a teaspoon of ground cassia can get you there on its own, which is why supplement doses of cinnamon are measured in small fractions of a gram rather than spoonfuls.

It is also why the amount in a mixed capsule is nothing like the amount in a cinnamon-only tablet taken on its own. If you already sprinkle cassia on your porridge every morning, that is worth factoring in. Ceylon cinnamon carries far less coumarin, and it is a fair question to ask of any cinnamon product you buy.

Who should give this tub a miss

{{OFFER_NAME}} — Originaldose aus der Bestellung auf der offiziellen Website

Some of this is simply the standard supplement wording, which every pack sold here has to carry: do not exceed the stated daily dose, do not treat a supplement as a substitute for a varied diet, and keep it out of reach of young children. The rest follows from the specific ingredients. Skip it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or under eighteen. Ask first if you take anticoagulants such as warfarin, because ginseng is known to interfere with the enzymes that handle them. Ask first if you are on medication for blood pressure, heart rhythm, diabetes or thyroid function, if you have liver or kidney problems, or if you have surgery booked.

None of this is unusual for a botanical supplement, and none of it replaces a two-minute conversation at a pharmacy counter, which costs nothing. Glucagora does not treat any condition and does not replace medicines your doctor has prescribed. If you think a supplement has caused you a side effect, you can report it to the MHRA through the Yellow Card scheme — it takes a few minutes and the reports are genuinely used.

Buying the real thing, and what it costs today

Glucagora — sealed tub with leaflet as delivered to a United Kingdom address

You can buy Glucagora here and nowhere else. It is not stocked by the chemists on the high street and it is not listed on the marketplaces, which is worth knowing, because anything appearing under this name on a third-party listing is not coming from us and we cannot vouch for what is in it. On this site the price today is 36.65 € instead of 73.3 €, one tub, no subscription and nothing to cancel later.

Leave your name and number on the order form and a consultant rings back to confirm the address. Delivery across the United Kingdom takes 3–7 working days, the box carries no product name, and you pay the courier when the parcel is in your hands rather than in advance. If you would rather buy a fortnight at a time and decide as you go, that is exactly what one tub is for — and whatever people notice from a formula like this, they notice it with regular use across a full course rather than in the first few days.
